Celebrating 640 years

This is what 640 years of marriage and 21 years of priesthood looks like! Pictured here with Fr John are the 17 happy couples who together have chalked up that number of years of married life. They were at the 10.30am Mass last Sunday to celebrate their milestone wedding anniversaries, ranging from 1 to 56 years, with 4 couples marking 40 years, and 6 at 45 years.

The Wedding Anniversary team has also reached a milestone this year – their 20th year of organizing this celebration in our parish. The original team of Christine & Basil Fernandez, Bowani (Anne) & Casey Lee and Su & David Goh were joined by two new members, Marina Francis and Margaret Yesuratnam last year. We are grateful to Marina’s husband Ragu, son Matthias and daughter Krystal for their help in Hospitality.

Our thanks also go out to John Richards and Sabrina Fenwick for the music during the shared meal, Xavier Das for the PowerPoint set-up, Rudy Hendarman for photography and, last but not least, Fr John, for the memorable and moving Renewal of Vows and Blessing for the couples.
