Paul LS Lee Bursary

Terms and Conditions

  1. The Paul LS Lee Bursary is offered yearly by the Parish of Sts John and Paul, Willetton, to a first-year student enrolled in any university in Western Australia.
  2. Information on how to apply for the Paul LS Lee Bursary forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
  3. Applicants must be Australian citizens or those holding permanent resident status, who are practising parishioners of John Paul Church, Willetton.
  4. Entry is free and open to all qualified applicants who complete the Paul LS Lee Bursary requirements by the closing date.  By submitting the Bursary form you are deemed to accept these Terms and Conditions and to have applied for the Bursary.
  5. To be eligible, applicants have to submit proof of enrolment in a course of study in Semester 1, of the current year, at a university in Western Australia. Participants also need to answer the questions (in 100 words or less) ‘How will a $1500 bursary make a difference to your success at university?’ and ‘How do you think study at University will help you achieve your ambitions?’  All entry requirements must be completed by the specified closing date.
  6. Applications close on the last day of February each year.
  7. Successful Paul LS Lee Bursary recipients will agree to repay the bursary if they do not proceed with their enrolment for Semester 1of the current year.
  8. Successful Paul LS Lee Bursary recipients cannot transfer the Bursary to other students in any circumstances.
  9. John Paul Church reserves the right to alter the conditions of the Bursary based upon exceptional circumstances.
  10. Successful recipients of the Paul LS Lee Bursary will be notified by the last day of March each year.
  11. Payment of the Paul LS Lee Bursary to successful recipients will be made by  Easter each year.
  12. The Paul LS Lee Bursary will be paid directly to the recipient via direct deposit into the recipient’s nominated bank account as a lump sum payment.
  13. The decision of the selection panel is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  14. All information collected from applications will be treated with the strictest confidence and all applications will be destroyed upon the offer and acceptance of the Bursary to a successful applicant.
